MY BIG ITALIAN ADVENTURE:
Hey music lovers!
It's been a while so i'll try to catch up....
Right after C.O.E.D. went over to europe for a whirlwind multi-city tour[which ended in my favorite city-PARIS@le battaclan] i set off on what i like to call my BIG ITALIAN ADVENTURE!
Starting in April 2007 until now[summer 2008] i have been touring with italian blues/rock legend ZUCCHERO.We have travel near and far [see the tour dates at www.zuccero.it] and will not be done till the end of 2008.He sings in italian,english,spanish and french so his fanbase is truly international.I have seen parts of the world that i never thought i would and have made many friends along the way.please visit youtube.com for highlights from the tour like these:

I know i have promised before but i am in the process of adding a photo page to this site to give you a visual on some of the things i've had the pleasure to experience.stay tuned..it's coming!!!
In between breaks in Zucchero's FLY TOUR 2007 and ALL THE BEST 2008;i have been in writing and recording sessions with my buddies in C.O.E.D.! We are working on great music for you so..don't worry...it's coming soon!!!
i have also had the great opportunity to play live in L.A. with singer/songwriter DANIEL[www.thesoulofdaniel.com] and the unbelievably talented SY SMITH! Check out her new CD "CONFLICT "on itunes when you get a chance...it's just killin'!! it is also my big hope during my next break to work with N'DAMBI .she is presently working on a new CD as well.Artists such as these 3 give me hope for the future of music.

hey music lovers,
as this year begins,much music is being made around
the world.between the NAMM show and engagements with
ms. cole and ms. lauper.; C.O.E.D is in studio writing
and working on a recording of of our new
adventure..stay tuned!!!
in march,C.O.E.D. makes the journey across the
atlantic for our first european tour featuring
Ms.Candi Dulfer as our special guest!!!!!!!

2006
winter stated with ms.lauper doing lots of tv to
promote the new record,THE BODY ACOUSTIC.martha
stewart's show was fun to do..great food and she even
signed my guitar!
she is a music lover!
on my birthday a few friends of mine were together and
celebrating.an idea that had been long on the minds of
us all but one friend in particular came to light that
night..the product of that evening-the beginning of
C.O.E.D. !!! with sheila e. and her manager,lynn mabry
at the helm;this band has become a viable music entity
to reckoned with.rhonda smith is on bass,cassandra
o'neal on keys,sheila on drums,and me on guitar make
up the core group.we are open to special guests as
well[wendy and lisa,rachelle farrell participated in
our first jam!!!!]....look for us...we're coming to
your town!!!!!!!
this summer ,as well as last summer,i served as a
judge at the WNED BUFFALO/NIAGARA NATIONAL GUITAR
CONTEST.the judges included guitar greats VERNON
REED,JOHNNY HILLAND,JUDE GOLD,ABBY GENET and FRANK
JOHNS; bass masters STU HAMM and BRETT SCALLIONS.the
contest is an open forum to new talent and a wonderful
showcase for guitar lovers worldwide.the jam at the
end is always a blast!!!!!!!
in june ,i got the chance to play some good old
minneapolis funk with my 'brothers from another
mother' ST.PAUL PETERSON ,RICKY PETERSON,JASON DELAIRE
AND JOEY FINGER.the catch was..we had to go to london
to do it!!!!!! but it was worth the ride!!!
shortly after arriving back from london,i got the
great opportunity to work with an extraordinary
singer/songwriter from connecticut named DANIEL at the
temple bar in l.a. a purer voice and talent i have not
experienced in a great while...he brings 'soul' back
to the music in a such a refresing way..check him out

C.O.E.D. made its way to japan in august to wonderful
reviews,sellout crowds and a growing fanbase for a new
musical adventure.we girls are making our way 'round
the world'....
as the fall of 2006 continued with more touring with
ms.lauper;i was asked to participate in a recording
project with a good friend of mine who now lives and
works in south africa,PROF.JIMMIE EARL PERRY at
stellenbosch university,capetown.his record proceeds
benefit various AIDS related charities ,one of which
involves MINISTER TUTU and affliates with the WORLD
AIDS FUND as well.after completing the recording,i was
invited to play at the WORLD AIDS DAY GALA with
prof.perry and the orchestra.what an amazing
journey!!!!!! south africa is both uplifting and
challenging to the human spirit.it was truly a
once-in-a -lifetime experience...
as the year ended,i had the great opportunity to work
with one of the great legendary singers of our
time,Ms. Natalie Cole.what an absolute joy she is!!!
it's all groove,music and good vibes all the
time....she has a wonderful new R&B album out NOW!..go

2005
this year started off with a BANG! the SNS[sisters in
the spirit] TOUR!!!!!
what a unique and incredible opportunity that was for
me.it was my first major gospel tour experience,under
the leadership of SHEILA E., working with the 'creme
de la creme' female gospel artists.YOLANDA
ADAMS ,RIZEN ,MARTHA MUNUZZI ,
KELLY PRICE and JUANITA BYNUM.to say it was CHURCH
every night would be an understatement! to be lifted
up by not only the singing,music and praise but by the
shared energy of the audiences is hard to describe..if
you get a chance to see the SNS tour in your
town..don't hesitate! you will be blessed!
next up was working with my friend,CAROL HATCHETT
&VELVET SUNDAE.it is a wonderful R&B/rock revue not to
be missed! most gigs are l.a. based so come on out and
support us if you can...it's a funky good time....
may 2005,i was afforded the opportunity to sing with a
classical acappella ensemble from UMES [university of
maryland] under the direction of my dear
friend,DR.SHEILA HARLESTON.the main venue was the
NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL in paris! for a full week,we sang
in and around paris,taking in the sites and sounds of
one of my favorite cities.the ensemble is famous
around the world and i was blessed to be asked to join
them on that trip...if they travel to your city and
you enjoy vocal music[from beethoven to take 6] go and
be a part of something special...
summer of 2005 was filled with more dates with CYNDI
LAUPER ,including working on her acoustic album.
there was also many more concerts with SHEILA E. over
the summer.the BET AWARDS was a fun time,as i was part
of an all female ensemble that she assembled to play
with rapper T.I. he is a great performer and a lover
of music to the ninth degree!
a highlight for the fall of 2005 was the AMA
performance with CYNDI LAUPER and canadian
vocalist,SARAH McLACHLAN,singing 'time after time'
duet style.it was as if time stood still in an
otherwise fast paced show.even the industry folk were
happily impressed!
a good friend of mine,mike baker and his friends have
a fun production that i am a big fan of ,back up and
rocking.ACE BANDAGE:THE ROCK OPERA! i got invited to
play in their latest installment!!!! WOW!!! if you are
in the los angeles area when they put it on
again...GO!GO!GO!..great music,singers,dancers and
acting wrapped in ROCK & ROLL!!!!
